Chổng Chung VS Chổng Riêng

Once in while, an e-mail appears and is so full of it that violent responses echo loudly everywhere. However, if one takes a closer look at these responses, one can see that they (including, sometimes, the e-mail that initiates the responses) are authored by familiar names. The reasons for this phenomenon are quite elementary. These names belong to a group which called itself the "Chổng Chung" Group and which was founded by a man named NAGiao.

Giao, many years ago, saw MATuan managed to come out of the condition called "illegal chổng" and created the 7ND web site to become legal. He decided to do the same but with a different approach. He lobbied for the e-mail forum for many years and gradually gained momentum with the support of Sir Lawrence of Washington, scientist NLBinh (the discoverer of the Gullibility Virus), poet Nothing Long (enough!), Honorable Wayne Cao, literature critic BSTuan, town planner LTNghe and many others.

Unfortunately, the supports received never seemed adequate until Giao decided to go east (đông du) where he met a chổng dissident named NVThanh known by many by the name of Victor of Ardmore (VOA). VOA is known for his work in burning dried squid on electric heaters next to the office of Dean AL Titchener of the Engineering School and, as a result, moving the entire school to downtown Auckland, NZ.

After many late nights of discussion and soul searching trips with VOA,Giao dropped his advisor Quasimodo and began to change his views on things. He saw the needs for protection of husband rights, for self alignment with MATuan, and for recognizing the power of the Force. He fortified his forum and has brought it to its successful level of today.

As an evidence of the "respect" Giao has for VOA, you will see that every time VOA writes an e-mail, the first response (with passion) is always Giao's.

Outside the "Chổng Chung" Group are individuals who are collectively called "Chổng Riêng." Chổng riêng people are those who also came from the land of the chổngs. They give out their name, receive e-mails, and are, therefore, certified as a chổng. They are legal.

The difference between them and the Chổng Chung Group is that they are non-participating members of the forum. Chổng riêngs, because of their non-participating status, are often uninformed. While the existence of thick skinned individuals is acknowledged, chổng riêngs are generally very sensitive and often succumb to the Gullibility virus. A chổng riêng once said to a chổng chung: " I throw every e-mail I get into the trash can..." thinking, perhaps, that these e-mails were about "me." A chổng riêng never acknowledges having the chổng condition and, therefore, often assumes those who do chổng things are re-born chổng sỉ. MATuan, when joining the Group, used the word "chổng renaissance." NAGiao and NVThanh immediately corrected Tuan by categorically stating that chổng never dies and, hence, cannot "renais." Recently, BSTuan recited a critics of "chuyện Kiều" from a book published by a foreign publisher (and got NAGiao all excited about it, indicating that the two did not know that we all went through Trung Học Đệ Nhất Cấp before the chổng era) mentioned the word "tái chổng." How can it be "tái" when it never went away? - Another mis-interpretation of the mind.

As I said many e-mails ago, we grew up in the land of chổng and, therefore, cannot deny the identity of a chổng. There are only chổng chung and chổng riêng and nothing in between. We are all chổng as announced loud and clear by Sir Lawrence of Washington in his recent speech at a wedding in front of a full house of dignitaries and brasses.
